Was just in CT to buy
A mastercraft tumbler and noticed they had eley.22 ammo. Has anyone else seen this. They have eley sport (which is supposedly the same as "practice") for $7.88 and they have "contact" and "force" for $12.08. Anyone know what the difference between contact and force is. Good to see eley ammo locally!

Eley can be sourced to any Canadian Tire but it does not come through the Corporation (so you won't see it on-line) - it is up to each individual store as to whether they will carry it or not (if they sell ammo at all).

Since this comes from an outside supplier (Korth in this case), not all individual owners are interested in setting up an account, paying for the shipping to them, separate billing etc as opposed to just a few clicks to order something from the Corp.

If your local store sells ammo you can ask the sports manager about bringing some in - they may be willing to help you out.

Because of the cost and potential demand in the "local market", my store (me) decided NOT to bring in the Eley, but I could get it...

I had not seen any Eley rimfire ammo in Canada until late last year, then my local hook and line store had 3 different varietys in. Now everyone seems to do it, which is really good news.

Great ammo, my personal favourite.

Candocad.

I was at Sail the other day and discovered that they have Eley ammo that is co-branded with Remington. These are allegedly "Target". Does anyone know where these fall in the Eley product line spectrum? They are $13.95/50, BTW. I bought three boxes but have yet to try them in my CZ452 Varmint.

so if a fella where gonna pick up some Eley ammo what would be the stuff to get?
i dont wanna get the Tennex as its expensive.
i want to punch holes in paper but not go broke.

from what i can see i can get Club, Contact and Force from my LGS.
im assuming Club is their entry level stuff and contact is sub sonic and force heavy hitting from what the website says.

so im guessing Club is the stuff i want to pick up to try?

what about sport?

actually from reading a bit more looks like Contact and Force are for semi-auto guns competition.
Sport is for varmint.
Club is entry level plinking.
anything with Match in the name is high end stuff.
Tenex is god level.

A waste of money. I shot it in my Zastava M22 at 25 yards. Nothing to write home about. Mini Mags and Blazers much better.

I can recommend this ammo, it works in my CZ452, Walther KKM UIT Special, and all my rimfire handguns

I am pretty picky when it comes to rimfire ammo. I am impressed which is as good an endorsement as I can make.
