Eley Ammo in Calgary?

ELey Target, did quite well, out to 100M it will hold under 1 MOA with a good rifle, the sport opens up to 2 moa. these were shot off a bench at 50 yards, no bipod or rest, just resting on my elbows. Eley sport simply was the best. using anschutz 1710 commemorative ss HB with NF 3.5-15x50 I found Eley target actually shot larger groups at 50M than the sport but tighened up at 100M must have something to do wtih harmonics of the barrel, no other explanation I can think of. Haven't found any other ammo that groups better at 50M than the eley sport. For me anyhow, and I am no crack shot.

Lapua makes some very fine ammo, but I have yet to find better shooting ammo than certain lots of ELEY Match EPS. I have some targets shot with my Suhl 150 and my 40X. In the case of the 40X, you can see how the ELEY outperformed some RWS Rifle match by a fair margin. Regards, Eagleye.

Eagleye, do you sit at home and simple poke holes in paper with a paper puncher? Man those holes are close....Nice shooting!!! Mine are never that close but with Eley Match they are always closer than with anything else using an Anschutz 1710 HB...been chatting with remmington, getting close to pulling the trigger on a new build.

I have witnesses!! LOL. I was shooting my Suhl this summer, adjusting the tuner for a new lot of ELEY match ammo, and a fellow was there shooting a 17HMR on the next bench. It was very calm, and quite warm. I shot two consecutive 50 meter groups [10 shot groups] that measured under .140" He laughingly told me "you must be shooting three shots at the target and then shooting the rest away and not at the target." Very accurate rifle, good optics [36X Leupold] superb ammo lot, no wind, and the pilot having a good day makes for some nice targets. I shot a 10 shot group at 100 meters the same day that was exactly .440" Got to love it! Eagleye.

maybe I am making a mistake, trading a NF 5.5-22x56 for a S&B 3-12 PMll, have the NF on the 22 and it sure is nice for seeing the target.

d; I consider 12X to be a bit on the low side for serious bench work, even with superb glass. 20X is about my minimum. Eagleye.
