Hey All,

So I was at my local gunshop intending to pick up some Tenex Biathlon for a weekend match and was shocked to find the price had jumped form $18.95 a box to $28.95 a box! Is anyone else experiencing this in their area as well? I mean, I know ammunition is getting a little harder to find due to the Democrats being in power down south but that's over a 65% increase overnight! :puke:

If you have a local shop selling for less, please post below!

Thanks,

~ Teller

Eley Match / Tenex Biathlon out of stock on the East coast here from what I see, and similar pricing.
Go with SK Biathlon. A lot of our benchrest shooters using this in Winter with good results. Good luck.

I've been impressed with 2 out of 3 purchases of sk biathlon, one was excellent,I'm thinking it was lapua biathlon overstock they sold as sk biathlon .

The problem with most LGS's is limited selection.
Most do not buy cases and finding a lot that agrees with your rifle, the LGS has a limited amount left.
Getting on a mailing list with bullseyenorth, Nordic, Hirsch or TSP is part of the answer.
After that, establish a relationship with their sales department whereby you can buy samples and they will reserve bricks/cases following your testing.
LGS's will buy cases of a lower grade, Eley TEAM versus TENEX or MATCH because it will sell at a reasonable price.
It becomes a little luck of the draw, and even minor changes in TENEX or whatever will move your rifle's opinion from "Love it" to "Hate it"!
Finding some quality ammo one day is no guarantee it will be available tomorrow.

Ellwod Epps was researched, and the information for Eley MATCH and TENEX was a little misleading.
MATCH is described as Flat Nose, and TENEX as Round nose.
There was no Biathlon.
Prices are within reason but the amount available was not found.
From personal experience, where shipping is required to out of province buyers, the amount saved by dropping the PST covers the shipping on orders over $1000.
