I've been shooting Eley Match with a muzzle velocity of 1078 fps. for the past year but haven't really been happy with the results. I recently tried some more with velocities of 1056, 1060, 1062 and 1063 fps. I removed the tuner from my rifle and shot 10 5 shot groups of each ammo then measured the groups and found the average group size for each type. The 1056 fps proved to shoot the tightest groups so I ordered a case (I might have to order a couple more cases of the same lot #). Today I replaced the tuner and went to the range again to shoot with the 1056 ammo, after adjusting the tuner this was what I ended up with
The rifle btw is an Anschutz 54 Match action, Llilja 26" barrel, Harrell tuner, Leupold Competition 45X scope and a McMillan benchrest stock, all shot from a custom one piece rest.
