Eley standard 22 lr ammo

If the $6 per 50 box is correct that would make it middle of the line ammo.
Cheap stuff is $20 per 500
Middle $60
Higher $150 and I dunno how high.

Way better than most of us use regularly.

I have a Winchester semi auto being given to me. I have had this ammo for awhile now and all I would be doing is plinking with it.

I havn't checked for a while, But I don't think you could get that stuff for
$6.oo these days. Good ammo.I paid anout 6.oo 10years ago for this ammo.
To good to be shooting cans with.

Eley renamed their product line a year or so ago. Their low end ammo is now called Eley Sport - I presume that's the same stuff you are talking about.

I bought some last year for $6.99/box. That's about the going rate (when you can find it - it tends to be a bit thin on the ground.)

Like all Eley ammo, Sport is well made and reliable. It tends to work well in most guns, though I have a custom 10/22 w/GM barrel that won't feed it well.

Sport is a good quality SV target round. I know some guys who like it for 100 yd bench shooting even though it's not really intended for that range. Depending on your circumstances you can consider it good practice ammo or suitable for casual matches. It's definitely too good and too expensive for tin cans. For cheap plinking ammo I've had good results with CCI Blazer and Winchester 333, both of which cost less than half as much as Eley.

Eley ammo is no good...... Send it to me for disposal. :D

What you have there is cheap plinking ammo for your high end target competition .22.....

When you can find it it retails for $9/50 here. I would expect to pay between $45 and $55 a brick for what you have there.

Eley sport is cheapest
Eley Standard is mid
There are a few more grades that escape me at this moment in time, they get pretty spendy.....

Calgary Gun Show

gee last year I sold some eley (different names, target rifle and so on , and lapua and RWS) for less then prices here and all I got was guys wanting a buck a box of all day every day

and they wonder why nobody stocks it

dont know if I am going to drag the ammo to Calgary this year

I went and rechecked the box's and they definitely say "Eley Standard" on the boxs. I found
some online auction when I googled the name and found the same stuff as I have that went for $16 for 2 boxs. I don't think I would go shooting tin cans with it if it is this pricey because that seems like a waste.

I would sell this stuff to someone if they lived in Manitoba. I only need to shoot
cheap stuff and I would only be wasting it. It is obviously higher quality ammo
that someone would appreciate more than I would.
