Elimination of LGR Give your buddy a rifle thread

Okay, I'm in!

Gave a brand new Marlin XL7 25-06 to a 15 yr old kid in Dawson Creek on my way back home. He is the grandson of a good friend of mine. After I got back here, I gave another new XL7 to a good friend of mine. It is a 30-06, and he's coming over tonight to put a scope on it.

Does that give me two memberships? :)

I bought a cooey model 60.... i cut my teeth on one.... I didn't have to register it then and I didn't have to register it now.....

To me the cooey 22 symbolizes what was wrong with the registry to a tee

giving back to a friend untill he got licensed the shotgun he found in a grain drill , it was in an estate and had been hidden away by a farmer who had no use for registration .

This sounds like so much fun. now we can work three way trades..

OK, when I think of 3 ways ,I am not thinking of guns,,,well not firearms anyway! :D:p
OH yea, I am giving my son his choice of mosin/sks/svt m38/m44,etc for getting hs pal. And when my stepson and my wife get theirs done ,he gets one of the above and she gets a mossy 500 12 guage persuader!
ME, I get an m44, a yugo 59/66 and 2-mossbeg 590's! w:h:

traded my rem 700 sps 22-250 and nef 30-30 and a bushnell elite 3200 2x7x32 for a stevens 22-250 no scope and a browning blr 81 in 358 win with 60 rounds and 40 once fired brass, the rifle only seen 40 rounds down the pipe, came with 2.5x32 tasco scope from japan

Although the regestry has been squashed you still must have a license to own or purchase a rifle or gun of any kind, just saying be careful what you do as it could bite you in the butt
