Eliseo RTM modular Rifle

Anyone have one in Canada? I am building one for myself as time permits. I am going .260, 300 win, .338 lapua. This a case where a swapable bolt head would sure be nice. The biggest cost on a rifle like this is all the bolts you need lol. Looking for info on ease of caliber changes, feeding issues etc. Please keep business related questions to PM's

We've build a few using Defiance Machines Mutant action on the RTM, RTS, and lightweight hunter tube chassis. They've worked well. It would be hard to get one action to feed three different case lengths though, you could do a std. mag & lapua switch rig by swapping barrels, bolts & mag wells & it should still feed fine out of the mags. Getting the 260 to feed would depend on how forward the mag is positioned, Gary Elisio should know whether it would be as simple a changing the magwell/bottom metal.

My understanding of the system is it was designed to do just that. I assume by moving the mag position with different lowers. I distribute for pierce engineering who worked with Gary on a long action package with various bolts to do this.

Reading you quote it would seem that it may be possible. However We have 1 of these in 338 Lapua. I can not see any way that a short action could be used in the long action chassis or vise versa. The mag wells are different , the action bolt spacing is different.
Maybe if 1 were to buy the part of the chassis that encases the action the rest of the parts will fit, but it sure does not seem like a 1 size fits all chassis from what we have here.

I believe you only use long action actions and the interchangeable lower part of the chasis moves the mag well around to accomodate the different cartridge lenghts. Their are 3 lower units, s/a, l/a and .338 cip. Look at the photo in my original post and notice where the mag release is. That would be the short action lower if you compare it to the lower that is not installed.
