Anybody has this scope on your M14s?

Thinking of get a variable mil-dot for the m14s, will this scope handle the bashing of the 14s?

I know the 10x40 is the most popular scope here but looking for a variable if possible.

I have this scope on my m700 sps-v it is good scope never had any issues tracks nice and I have hit steel at 450 yards it can spin up to 650 yards I use it to estimate distance then jbm and have good results out to 450 ... I am also thinking about putting it on my soon to be m14 then getting the 6-24x50 elite tactical for the bolt gun , the only thing that I do not like about the 5-15 is the front parallax and 1" tube the eye relief is kinda touchy

Yes agreed its a good scope for the money but for real long range shooting its lack of adjustment compare to high end scope like some 6500, Sightron or NF.

I think the later two has 100 moa in elevation adjustment.

I like that scope, it's good for the money, but I haven't used one on an m14. I am using a Leupold because of the warranty. The Leupold has a ballistic reticle, to assist in estimating holdover. good enough for my fooling around.

Im also in the market. Have heard really good things about the vortex viper 6-20x44 or 50mm objective by ops over at opticstalkforum. Available with mil reticle.

I know it isnt the scope you asked about but I've heard them compared.

50mm makes for a really high scope on an M14.There's a reason the 10x40mm is such a popular scope. It's what I had on my Norc before it went down the road.

I had a 10x40mm 3200 mil and loved it! Just do your self a favor and don't cheap out on a mount. The m14.ca or an arms 18 mount. I picked up a promag one and it failed me first time to the range.

x2 on the mount. A quality mount, meticulously installed is essential. If its the side plate type design, lay the mount against the action and observe how it sits when its flat, and make sure it winds up that way after you install the stripper clip guide securing point.
