First elk I've taken. Never really hunted them before so it was a bit of a learning curve but by the end of the week I was on bulls every day and tried like damn to get the heard bull in for a shot but no luck breaking him away from his girls. Called this boy out to a 180 yards into an opening and let him have it. Small horns big body should fill the freezer nicely

Thanks boys. To answer a few pms he was shot with a 270wsm and a 130gr ttsx hand load. Shot was about 200 yards broadside one through the back lung liver and hit him once on the run in the neck which pulled him up there.
