Brother and I got drawn this year for either ### elk, split season.

Weather and conditions weren't very conducive to hunting in the early season but we did make some good contacts/ new friends. They helped out and were awesome. Thanks to you all, names withheld to protect the innocent:)

Went back late season , 2-3 weeks ago, and with the above help/advice , scored on these

Had a great trip, good hunt with my brother, which is always a treat. As we get older it seems we don't do this as much, certainly not enough. He planned the stalk, had it figured out about perfect. Did most of the work once they were on the ground. Game hoist he designed and built was AWESOME

Also, I had a unavoidable personal commitment the following week and he handled ALL the skinning, and butcher arrangements. BIG thanks

Like they say.....even a blind hog will find an acorn once in a while

Great trip !

That's a great story and better you got to share the experience with your brother.
Since my dad passed away 20 years ago all of my brothers have quit hunting one by one.

I am so jealous Right now
I only got out one day deer hunting this year it's bin like that for the last 4 years do to my work schedule .
If I get the trapline I'm looking at that's all going to change next year

Thanks guys I appreciate. I think we forget how lucky we are at times , this was one

It also felt good because we worked for them ,no road hunting, etc. and saw some nice country , met some great people and learned a bunch .

After the first day , when had screwed up a bit, and had aches and pains we looked at each other and agreed that it was already a success!
