Ellwood Epps Shipping issues? What is the deal?

its canada post... if you process something at say 5pm and the cut of time is 4 they don't pick up till the next day or ship it from the post office next day. Its silly but thats the way it works the computer system thinks you did it first thing and it will be picked up instantly so it does that.

Canada Post is still a million times better than any of the courier services. At least when I am not home, I can just go and pick up my package at the Shoppers Drug Mart down the street.

Try that with Canpar.

Its how Canada Post works, and has nothing to do with Epp's or Orillia. What do you think the person picking up the parcel reads where it is going and drops it off on their way by? No...it goes to a sorting plant, which then redistributes it. To blame it on Epps is ass backwards. I've ordered from Questar before, they're 3 blocks from my house, the packages come via Acton; which is 150Km West of here, Do I blame Questar(?) No...
I ordered from Kodiak outpost, they're located East of Toronto, the package left, went to Toronto, back to Kingston, North to Ottawa, back thru Kingston, then to Toronto and finally to my house Just north of Toronto... Did I blame Kodiak? NO...the estimated delivery was 2 days, it took 7...did I blame Kodiak? Noooo. The postal sorting centre was obviously in Ottawa... These aren't smoke signals that are getting sent, they're packages.:HR:

On Sept 2 I dropped off a package at a post office about 10 kms from the Mississauga sorting facility. The package was supposed to go to Manitoba. According to the tracking info, it took 10 days to go that 10kms. Then another week to go from there to Manitoba.

But it go there...

Canada Post is all over the board. Sometimes its a day or two for Waterloo to Toronto and sometimes it 9 days for this same distance.

Don't try to think about it, just plan for the worst and hope for the best.

There is a mediation body here in Ontario, it's called LCBO, and they immediately resolve all Canada Post delivery issues to your extreme and immediate satisfaction. Utilize this much neglected government resource when needed.

Having been a customer of Epps for several years and in doing so I spend a few thousand dollars a year with them, I honestly cannot say enough good things about their customer service or Canada Post for that matter.
My purchases travel from their store to Abbotsford BC without a problem and arrive within 4-6 working days.

As a side note, a few years ago I purchase a nice shotgun from another store on Vancouver Island.
Said store wrapped it in newspaper and addressed it with a felt marker.
In transit the paper became unravelled and all that was left of the address was the postal code. Someone at Canada post re-boxed it and sent it on to me by way of the postal code only.
Needless to say I was very grateful and impressed.....

Similar issue with CP happened to me few years back. My 3rd order for 10m air pistol parts from a dealer in Peterborough, got a CP tracking no. A week later, surprise! Nowhere in sight. It was suppose to be en expedited delivery, 1-3 days max as my previous orders were. Called the dealer and gave me an update few hours later. Checked with Canada Post and got this very disturbing reply: "Unfortunately, your package has been delivered to an address in BC." I don't know if these sorters can read at least the Postal Code. It was a GTA Postal Code and clearly way out against a BC Postal code. The dealer, Airgunsource sent me a replacement package and it came next day! Then, exactly a week later, the lost package came to which I courteously returned to the dealer. Also, a package I sent to Manitoba expedited took almost 3 weeks to arrive.

It looks like sending via CP addressed to a residence takes a bit of delay. My suggestion and I can attest to this, if possible have your package sent to your office address. It looks like commercial addresses / accounts are given priority by CP.

Everytime I order something from Epps and it is sent out through Canada post I get the same BS from Canada Post.

Expected Delivery : 2011/09/21
Updated Delivery : 2011/09/22
Delivery date changed : Item was received by Canada Post at a different location than expected

WTF?

I live 3 hours from Epps, and technically should be getting this package on the 21st.

It was at the CP depot where my deliveries come from as of 2am yesterday so it should technically have gone out later yesterday morning, but because of the BS with where it was received they have it sitting in the depot till the next day.

Most of the #####ing we do is directed at Canada Post, but in this case it is clearly some BS to do with Ellwood Epps.

Why not have this addressed and save your customers a day of shipping?

Wow did'nt know Wes was in control of CP too...........He must really be a busy guy these days I guess?

Another Canada Post Fail!!!

So the question is now that the package isn't delivered on time, and Epps can be refunded for the shipping, will they credit me back?
!

If you would pay Epps for the time to make the claim and process your credit at a rate of 90 dollars an hour.

FOB origin. You pay for shipping and it is your responsibility. This is getting unreasonable.

Actually the post office considers the person who ships the item as the sender and will only deal with them (epps)They don't care who actually paid to ship it and will not deal with the buyer. He can't even file a lost item claim.

If i send you a package and it never gets to you ,you can whine all you want but the post office will only deal with me no matter how much money you sent me.:)

the post office that handles epps is completely full of retards. All five times I have ordered from EPPS the post office has sent the parcel all over creation before getting to my house. The people at EPPS are great the canada post people at the local depot are clearly stupid.

They may be retards...no, we can take that as a given...but they are also hoplophobe retards and so they take pleasure in trying to screw things up for both parties involved.

I would contact Canada Post Investigations because this appears to be a case of deliberate interference with the mails. That should light a fire under their little pink butts.

As a former CP employee I can guarantee you that that they are one of the most backwards bunch of fools you will ever see. After seeing how parcels are tossed around like footballs with no regard as to whats in them, and "fragile" stickers being more of competition to see what noise it makes when it breaks I would not mail dogsh*t through them.

agreed from someone who knows inside stories , dont ever, ever EVER
write fragile,

fragile in expeditor language translates as ''Kick me''

a friend of mine got a ring at the door , with the mail man delivering his package, but the box had been opened and emptied....the postman wanted a signature for it still ... his point of view was that his mandate is to deliver the box, not what is in it. he did write on the receipt that the box was empty, so that my friend could make a claim...but what a process!! what reaction is excpected from someone who receives an empty box? -''woohoo, i finally got something to put my garbage in!''

I recently had my M4 shipped to an address I hadn't lived at for four years . The salesman had the correct address and accounting had the right address but I had to wait for 2 trips before it got here 'cuz some bimbo in shipping decided to use the old one . It cost them $50 to return it to Orillia then another $50 to ship it to me a second time .
