Hey everyone, I'm in need of the following parts for my ole' mans Remington 7400. We head for moose next week, and this is my dads go to gun. He will substitute if necessary, but would rather carry the rifle he knows best.

Part 1 - orifice safety switch detent ball
Part 2 - orifice screw

During his last trip to the range, he said it was not shooting worth a ####, and jamming every shot. I took it and upon further investigation and a thorough cleaning, I noticed these two parts missing. I have ordered them from Brownells, but was made aware that there is a good chance they wont be in until after thanksgiving (we leave on the 10th).

If anyone has these in stock and willing to part with, please let me know ASAP.

Thanks, Cumminsdsl

I assume these two parts are from the trigger group. If so, why not try to borrow a whole trigger group from someone who can lend it for the hunt?

They are part of the gas block, the ball regulates the gas flow for ejection and the orifice screw holds in it in place. They are two very small parts, first case I ever seen the screw coming loose, usually the powder cakes up the block and its tough as all hell to extract.

Do you know if these parts are the same as from a Remington 742? If so, I probably have both and can expedite ship, Monday at the latest.
Update- I have both the ball bearing and screw for the 742.
