Emergency Response Team - pics

what war are these guys geared up for?
fuggen mall ninjas to the extreme LOL
ridiculous

How about a potential gun fight? Or an armed and barricaded? Or an active shooter? What the hell do you expect them to be geared up in?

The mind set of the CGN "expert" in relation to police work is is just as bad as the liberal mindset towards firearms.

Don’t even bother. Some people think owning an AR15 gives you some sort of tactical insight on par with those who use them for a living. Kind of similar to how the far left thinks the mere act of touching one fills you with irresistible desire to go on a shooting rampage.

Haha exactly. It's prob the same kind of fuds who shoots a tricked out carbine from the bench at his range. Lol

Simply put....

Lol ... standard “patrol” carbines also have suppressors in regular circulation. I briefly mentioned that I didn’t think they were standard issue when I seen one in an RCMP pickups center rack in Peace River Ab. Last year. It was a nice unit.... must be nice to ensure that no one hears police operations

In the other hand... they guys saying that the ERT team is over geared have zero insight into what is happening. Realistically, it would be ridiculous to not be geared up for battle when each and every time you go out, it is preparing for exactly that.

Don’t let logic and common sense ruin a good Armchair LEO gear bashing thread. People can’t even spell it right FFS.

Spelling police ERT! Put your pencils down everybody! Gaiters*

Sorry but I just question the need, are they planning on fjording some streams in the next few hours? Seems a tad overkill for hanging around the APV.

OPTICS !!!! Its all about visuals. Can someone forward this image to all the gun orgs. This is would be a prime counterpoint to the argument as to why the Police paid by our tax dollars to protect us has these hardware rmbr the "No one needs an assault rifle , kill as many people blah blah blah " What are they protecting us from with that firepower ?, Invading Russian troops ?, Syrian rebels ? US army ? Aliens ?

p.s does he look like he has a DBAL ???? call in a missile strike on a hostage situation ?

they looks like troops occupying a enemy country full of insurgents: us

First I've seen them, but police in Halifax have extra-quiet rifles now, apparently.

For what? They couldn't even get a chopper in the air over a 12hr period. FFS!

The fact of the matter is that "ERT" teams deal with drunk/stoned domestics and serving parking ticket warrants every day (just to keep in practice you know)...

The actual number of genuine events for which an "ERT" team is justified is about 3 a year in Canada.

yet the local "ERT" rolls 3 shifts and armoured vehicles -

In reality they are a great way to spend excess money and create an awesome "ski" team for the international inter agency athletic events.

haha. Did you get this information about from the media?

What makes you believe that tactical team members are issuing parking tickets? Are you a tactical team member? Are you a police officer? Or do you just get all this information because as a gun owner you automatically become an expert on the daily operations of police work?

Because im sorry but you are greatly incorrect on your statement. 99% of incidents involvement ANY emergency response unit of ANY police service do not get published in the media. And what makes you believe that tactical teams arent deployed on a regular basis? The ignorance in your comments are worthy of headline act on just for laughs

With all due respect, you have no clue as to what you are talking about

Sounds like one individual ran a check point perhaps and a high speed chase ensued and at some point Police thought it prudent to call off the chase. A little later the vehicle was found but was on fire at the end of a road with no sign of sign of the driver. RCMP ERT called in with Halifax Police K9 unit to search for the suspect.

Something like that.

Your right. I think you should stop wearing your seat belt because the chances of you needing it are......

Guys in general can be kit lovers,

Just think of how much camo and plate carriers you saw at the your last CQB or Precision match. The CCFR intro video even shows a guy with an FDE plate carrier and HBA shooting at a PRS match. I don’t see the multi cam CQB guy who works at a hardware store getting called out much on CGN.

Just saying....
