EMF JR Carbines at Epp's

I sure hope this rifle works out to be reliable! I'd hate for it to end up like the Rhineland arms R22! That would really piss me off!

So, in the first clip posted by KDX the guy has installed what looks like a 10Rnd. magazine.
Then the same magazine is used while shooting RWS ammo.
It was not until what looked like a 17 or 20 round magazine is installed it appears after 2 shots that there is a failure to load ...with more to follow.
I am far from an expert but, in my limited reading on Carbines this a some what common occurence( when this type of carbine is used with extended mags ) ,this is far from comforting in a combat/tactical situation where deadly force is being used.
I guess my CX Storm will retain its value until another competitor comes along.
Tight Groups,
Rob

Beats the s**t outta the sub 2000 thats for sure! Even if the price is a bit higher I prefer to have more metal than plastic in a gun!

... I know they said they were bringin in the restricted version first. I was told they are waiting on an FRT.

Just watched a performance review , The guy fired aprox 100 rnds from different mags & had 10 FTF from light primer strikes, no primer strike & stove piping .
Looks like another fine quality firearm to me.
LOL :D

FTFs, stove pipes, and extrator problems, not only that, it's restricted and doesn't have an FRT? This gun doesn't appear to beat the s**t out of anything, but it sure looks like the Sub2000 BEATS THE s**t OUF THIS GUN. Hell, a 22 Norinco Woodsman could beat the s**t out of this gun for reliability. More metal did not help this gun in any way. Plu, you saying you hate all modern assault rifles (a lot of them have plastic shells)??

Once Epps has the FRT and can start selling these guns then we'll see about reliability. It is my understanding that some of the early JR's had FTF & FTE issues, but a bolt re-design has sorted all that out. AFAIK Epp's guns all have the new bolt. I know that I will be buying one just as soon as the one's chambered in .45ACP show up.

Well I have handled the sub 2000 several times and I do not feel it is a piece of crap but it is a very cheaply made gun! It would be worth the pricetag that it sells for in the US which is around $350, but for the price these are going for here they are simply not worth it quality wise! The highpoint carbine feels 10 times better quality wise!

If you are willing to pay double what a gun is actually worth just to have it classed non restricted than the sub 2000 is for you!

Now as the JR carbine is actually coming in as non restricted so dont see where u grt it is restricted. It is simply a matter of barrel length. Epps will be bringing in both versions.

As far as reliability goes there has been many guns that started out with less than stellar performance, but improvements can be made and problems solved!

I like others can see that there is issues but magazines seem to play a large part here. Aftermarket cheap mags cause issues in lots of guns which would be considered very reliable otherwise. Especially in Glocks!

Other examples - 1911, 10/22, many othe .22's

Bottom line is I have played withe the sub 2000 quite a bit, and its price is hard to justify. You also have to consider all the other crap you have to buy to get a scope mounted, or bipod, and a better cheek weld.

Its just hard to stomach the money one would have to put into the Sub 2000 to get it the way you want, and I would question the longevity of such a gun!
