I bought 10 Enbloc clips off of Marstar for my Garand.

Most of them work ok, some don't engage the clip latch. There were a couple that were giving me a really hard time though, I can't get them all the way down unless I use 2 hands, and even then I have to remove them (either by cycling all the rounds, or pulling the top round up and then pulling out the clip)

Maybe they're just tight cause they're new?

I have that same issue in my International Harvester with the Marstar clips. I've dimissed it as a "new and tight" problem and they seem to be getting better with use. I leave ammo in them when stored and they will shape and slip in better in your next range session. My best ones are the oldies with no finish left, they practically fall in.

I've had this problem too. The first batch of clips that I bought were a bunch of old Dominion Arsenal ones, and they worked flawlessly. The second batch (this time from Numrich) were on the tight side, and are a real pain to load into the action.

"...either by..." The clip release didn't do anything? Has the rifle given you this kind of grief with non-Marstar clips? The finish on them isn't the problem.
