Encountered a problem when reloading starline brass

Do you lube your cases? I reload mixed brass and lube about a quarter of the cases and toss them in the feeder with the unlubed cases. Never had an issue.
While I think Starline is good brass, I had a strange experience with one of my 38-55 rifles, using it.
I had loaded a 255 grain Barnes in front of a regular load of H322, and when firing groups, I had a distinct flyer.
It was a good 5" out of the group. I opened the action [M94 Winchester] and noticed the case was
a funny shape at the mouth. What happened, was some of the brass case broke free and left with the bullet.
I'm guessing some type of cold weld between bullet and brass. Did no harm to anything, but messed up
my group, for sure. D.

Too much crimping force being applied.
..another thing. You mentioned you need a heavy crimp for your 44Mag. While this is true for the full power loads you also appear to be using plated bullets. Plated bullets and heavy roll crimps do not mix well, unless you are crimping to the cannelure. For bullets without a cannelure a heavy crimp can actually cut through the plating compromising the integrity before the bullet leaves the barrel. Be sure to check how thick the plating is with your manufacturer. My personal experience with Xtreme(from NV) and Berrys(non TP marked) was disappointing while using CamPro proved to work very well.
