I wanted to give a heads up to the board that there seems to be a concerted effort being made to cut us off from antique "cartridge arms" from the USA.

In the past 48 hours both Gunbroker and Auction Arms have responded to anonymous emails to them by blocking canadian bidding or posting warnings about possible "stings" involving domestic and foriegn agencies.

The term "cartridge arms" seems to be the common thread in the equation, and It has come up in multiple correspondences I have had with Auction houses and dealers. Can't imagine how they all independtly invented thier own new regulations but I guess anything is possible.

I sure hope this does'nt inflate an already inflated market.

I was looking around both the sites you have mentioned, and I saw nothing, but there is a lot of info there.

I wonder if it has anything to do with a group of anti's trying to stir things up and make life a little less easy for the legal acquisition of legal antiques?

Sorta like the jerks that would narc on an Ebay auction, then email the seller after it was pulled.
