This is a recent production by Parker Hale - not old. I was wondering what the value is. It looks as new and has probably been not shot more than a dozen times or so...

Depends what you mean by recent.

Mine, Parker-Hale #1187, was made in 1978.

Unlike the long rifles [two and three band Enfields], AFAIK there are no Navy Arms 'continuation production' versions of the Musketoon - so-called Parker-Hale models. So the most recent Musketoon that is a REAL P-H is going to be around the late 1980's or so.

If yours has 'Parker-Hale Made in Birmingham' and British [Birmingham] proof marks on it then I'd tear it out of your hands, if I didn't already have one.

Here in UK, where they are pretty common, they go for around $300-400 or so. Does it have the accessories with it? the Sergeant's Combination tool and shooting jacket patch? Instructions?

they have been selling for around $500 here on the island. There have been a few in the gunshows and some listed on the EE over the last year or two

cheers mooncoon

It has 'Parker-Hale Made in Birmingham' and British [Birmingham] proof marks... serial #2826... no accessories just the steel ramrod... appears to be about a 95 -> 98% gun.

Thanks for the info...

With your say-so, I'd like to pass the serial number to David Minshall of Research Press and the MLAGB - he's making a consolidated list of P-H serials.

TIA
