Enfield 1862

looking for info on this old rifle. Enfield 1862 is stamped on side of receiver. No visible serial #. Muzzle measures app 5/8" or .625", 30" barrel, rolling block action /w outside hammer. Barrel has a crown over crossed swords with vi above swords and p below. Rc10 and 1885 is stamped in butt of stock. A crown with vr is stamped in receiver [something to do with queen victoria, i underestand].gun is in fair condition.
Anyone have any ideas on caliber or value of this firearm.

gun is almost certainly a snider enfield and takes the .577 snider cartridge. They were conversions from the pattern 1853 percussion enfield rifle. Rather than me writing, they have featured in back posts and almost certainly can be found with a google search.
without photos we would be guessing wildly at price not to mention regional differences in price

Just guessing with info provided, but yes, most likely a Snider.

Need a pic, even a poor one of the action would help. Otherwise it is like me saying 'I have a car with four wheels, it is red and has Ford written on the front. How much is it worth?'
