Enfield 4mk1 - windage?

Howdy,

Got my first Enfield. Its a Savage 4Mk1. Elevation is good, however at 100m I'm grouping 5" left. How does one correct elevation on these weapons?

You need to move the front sight a bit to the left and try again. To move the front sight you must first loosen the reverse-slotted screw that tightens it down, then tap it to the left and re-tighten the screw.

Best to build yourself a tool for the screw head so you don't bugger it. To do this find a screwdriver with a shank the same diameter as the screw, cut the shank off flat @ 90 degrees, then cut a slot in the end of the shank with a hacksaw or Dremel cutoff wheel.
 
"...Enfield 4mk1 - windage?..." Like purple says, you move the front sight. Front sights are moved in the opposite direction you want the group to go. There are such things as sight pushers, but they're expensive. Looks like this. http://surplusrifle.com/reviews/lt2/index.asp
Loosen the screw and tap with a 6" brass rod and a plastic mallet.
