Enfield, anyone heard of this

Never heard of it.
*11 isn't part of the Enfield numbering system.
Enfield Lock is where the (Enfield) factory was located so maybe it was a
colloquial name for a particular rifle type.
 
Possible that it's a ShtLE MkII* with telescopic sight made at Enfield Lock? If so it would be RARE which makes me thing it's not legit.

A MkII* made into a sniper would generally have had two fold-out magnifying glass looking fixtures on the left of the rifle that fold into a tubeless scope and be a pre-1915 conversion.
 
I am in the process of acquiring this firearm, however and unfortunately, it was used as a base for a very nicehunting rifle. I would have perfered it in the orginal state. I'll post the markings and full photo of the firearm later when I acquire it.
