OK.. I am looking at converting my 303 British Enfield MK3 to a 22-250 or 223 or 7.62*39

question 1 ...Can this be done?
question 2 ....what concerns should I have?
question 3......Is there anybody here that can do the conversion

GOTO www.surplusrifle.com Check through the articles. There is an article on how they change them in Australia because of the lack of inexpensive .303 ammo. The site seems to be down right now, when it comes back up read up as much as you can because the site owner is sick and will be shutting the site down. He has cd's available if you like the info. Also goto www.specialinterestarms.com about 1/2 way down the first page is a 7.62x39 enfield conversion with a single stack AK47 variant mag

7.26x39 would likely be the easiest because you can reuse the existing barrel, just have to set it back. Making a mag work and the having the round eject is more difficult.

"...reuse the existing barrel..." Maybe. It depends on the actual diameter of the bore. They're not all, most in fact, .311" or .312". You still end up with a rimmless case with a bolt made for a rimmed cartridge and a huge difference in the mag length.
