I need some suggestions how how too repair this warped foreend. I bought it online and based on the photos it looked good. Now that I've started the restoration and bedding the foreend is slightly warped. With slight curve to the left.

I'm looking for suggestions to repair foreend. Pics below

I've done exactly that to a couple of mine that were warped. No one will look at it that closely and if they do oh well it works. Wonder with it being a No1 though if the nose cap being pulled off to that side will push on the tip of the barrel enough to mess with things?

I seem to remember reading somewhere that someone straightened one somehow?

By the way your front sight base is on backward.

I would assemble it and see if the barrel is binding on the nose cap or not before altering anything.

Good too know about the sight, funny it came that way.

I was able too get the nose cap on, but had to pry the barrel over slightly, don't think it would shoot well if I left it like that.

Yup. I wouldn't think of straightening this one before doing lots of other things to it first.

My bet would be that after serious bedding is done, it'd be much better and probably good enough. THat forend looks new-ish; how is the middle ring fitting in its inletting? How good is the bedding of the receiver in the forend? Bedding a new forend on a No1Mk3 barrel action is a long process requiring patience... :)

The foreend was unissued, the action bedding went pretty well, it sits tight. The middle ring sits well Too. But just shortly after the middle ring is when the foreend begins to warp.

Well, if you DO want to try straightening it, I would support it where the bend starts in a padded vise, use a paint brush to wet the stock with boiling water, then hand a weight on the tip. Allow to dry and re-assess.

You will likely need several sessions to get it straight, but be aware it will spring back some after your best efforts.
