After clearing out items from my dads shop I came across these enfield front sight tools the one is clearly marked : no 3 rifle no 4 and appears to have armourers markings the other is unmarked and appears hand made but of good quality . is this even the right forum to post this? any help is appreciated

What exactly are they and are they worth anything? Thanks Barehunter

I don't know what they are worth, but they are interesting pieces. Nice find.

Hopefully some more knowledgeable Milsurp folks will be along and can give you an idea of their value.

Number 4 shoots low and right.

Correct the LOW with a LOWER Front Sight Blade. There are about a dozen heights.

Correct the LEFT by shifting the Front Sight Blade to the LEFT (as you are sighting along the rifle).

Front Sight Blade on the Number 4 is adjustable by loosening the special Set Screw, moving the blade manually and re-tightening the Set-Screw.

You need a special TOOL for the Set-Screw. You MAKE one from a Robertson Number 2 or similer-shank slot-type screwdriver. Cut the tip off completely and saw, file or grind a SLOT in the shank to fit the Set-Screw.

When you re finished, toss the tool into your range bag.

It's that easy.

Hope this helps.
