I once bought a Tokarev SVT-40 way back in the early 1960s that someone had ran a .303 reamer into the chamber. At the time, .303 was quite plentiful and 7.62x54 was not.
It actually worked quite well, fired and ejected the empty cases. BUT, when I went over to pick the cases up, they had the nicest DOUBLE SHOULDERS that you have ever seen.
Since it was bought at a Gun Show, and I knew the guy I bought it from, I phoned him and we had a good laugh about it. He had not fired it, and was quite surprised when a package with a half dozen empties arrived at his door by mail. He offered me a full refund, but we settled on a very cheap price, so I kept it as a parts rifle.
I had a lot of fun later. I came across some .303 with no headstamps, so I wrapped a rubber band around a few and fired them in it. Then I reloaded it using .303 bullets, and kept a few around for showing a "Secret Russian Developed Cartridge" that supposedly got 4000 FPS because it ignited the two "chambers" seperately with the one loaded with slower burning powder burning last, so it augmented the velocity of the bullet when it was moving down the barrel, thus reaching velocities in the .220 Swift range.

Some people will believe anything!
And some people question my sense of Humor!
