I was just wondering if the Enfield line throwers were easy to come by or if they are rare like the L59's that I've been running after. I am in the market for one... just in case one of you might part with one.
That is what I thought... Seems like, for most of this stuff, I will have to look into importing from the US as they seem to be a little bit less scarce.
Sigh...
OK, since you asked, 1915 Greener fencing musket, No1Mk3 Fencing musket. Martini Henry Fencing musket Full length No1Mk3 cutaway. five short cutaways ranging a from Long Lee, No1Mk1 No1 Mk3 No4Mk1 No5 Mk1.
L42A1, L39A1, Australian L1A1 (unbuggered) No1Mk3 with spigot grenade launcher and a couple with cup launchers. Then ther is the Wendy Cukier Canadian training rifle. The only metal bits are two cone shaped sights, the rest being wood.
Of course I have a No1Mk6. didn't think it was worth mentioning. I have had enfielditis for a bit over 45 years.
Also have all three versions of the Canadian HiPower and a bunch of Webleys
Now I did have a very mild case around 55 years ago when I bought a No1Mk3 for $9.95 and a NO4 for $11.95, but back then my main collecting interest was trapdoor Springfields and only have one of those left.
Not guns, but also have Victorian R.A. Uniforms, badges and medals. Oldest one being for Waterloo. Prices on medals have skyrocketed so no longer try for them
Ok seriously, Enfielditis is making me go crazy. So many Enfield variations, so little available out there. I guess I have to learn to be patient as I have been diagnosed not that long ago...
