Enfield Martini Handgun

The "Pure evil in my hand right there" comment was pretty unneccessary.

Made me want to give him one of these as well. :slap:

Oh, and Bearhunter gots some bad math going on. 365 days per year X 1000 guns per day (so he says - not sure about those production figures) = 365,000 guns per year. That's still pretty good, but don't be expecting to get anything factory lettered.

Lever had a heap of these things back about 1965, .303 and even a couple in .450MH. Prices were about $25, if I remember correctly. I was making $50.80 gross a week, paying taxes and union dues out of that, so it was a lot of money. Unfired Kar 98s were $27.50, unfired Kar. 43s were $65, a veryveryvery nice Borchardt, cased with accessories, was $750.

Only thing I had trouble understanding was the "VR" stamp under the crown.... and the 1920 date under that! And the word "ENFEILD" with the second "E" backwards.

Still, I sure wish I had one now; should be a BALL of fun.
