A few weeks ago at the range, I was finally trying out my Enfield after fixing the old girl up.
It's all matching parts except for the wood, which I added after.
It seems to eject every shell, except for once in a while, when it will grab the empty, pick it up, and spin it around in the space between the bolt and the barrel.
I replaced the extractor spring, which seemed to be significantly flattened, compared to the new one.
I also cleaned some brass filings that had been in the extractor arm.

Any way to fix this other than really rocking the bolt back hard to throw the empties?

The tip of the ejector screw is exposed?
Apart from that, working the bolt smartly is probably the solution.

The extractor "might" be worn BUT the bolt should be moved "smartly" as stated in the manuals. No wimpy weak slow motion bolt operation, ejection force is the speed at which the bolt is operated. The ejector screw is primarily used to eject loaded rounds.
