I just purchased a Enfield No 8 with Parker PHC sights from a fellow gun nuts. While I am VERY HAPPY with the rifle, the screw holding the front sight is missing. This is allowing the front sight to slip sideways in the dove tail. Anyone know where I can find one of these screws?

Thanks, cheers

Foresight Clamping Screw on a Number 8 should be very small.

BA-6 is the correct screw.

BA is BRITISH ASSOCIATION thread: it is a 47-1/2-degree thread on a Metric scale.

WHITWORTH and BSF (British Standard Fine) are 55-degree rounded threads, American and UNF/UNC all are 60-degree threads.

Try a machinist's supply or a shop which stock things for people making model steam trains and such.

A FEW guys have BA taps and dies in nice fitted wooden flats which grew legs and walked out of Long Branch. One of them can make it for you.
