I recently picked up a nice no4 mk1 303 bri . when I load the 10 rd mag with 10 rds the first 9 rounds will feed perfectly , but the last round will not feed it gets stuck /jammed half way out of the mag ! it does the same when u just load one round in the mag . wondering if anyone has a fix for this issue , tks

I don't have another mag to try , the lips and the end of the mag that faces the chamber do seem to be very tight , scratches each piece of brass as it passed by but will only jam on the last one .

Ensure you've got a No4 magazine, as the No1 magazine doesn't always seat properly to feed.

The No4 mag on the left, you can see the differences in the length of spine and ribs.

Enfield mags are very touchy. Try just a bit of tweeking of the lips till it functions. Then leave it in the rifle.

Big Red, these Rifles/magazines can be touchy on the last round when you are slowly or carefuly closing the bolt while stripping the last round to the chamber. Try this,...load up snap caps or live rounds if on the range safely and cycle the action like you mean it. Up crisp back slap and slap forward. I'll bet she'll chamber the last round as well as the first.

I've adjusted the lips on mine. Trial and error. You can also gently file or sand them to smooth out the lips so they don't scratch the cases so much.
