Enfield p14 303 sporter value?

I just got a sporterized p14 from my grandpa, made by winchester and looks to have a good bore. Haven't shot it yet but its heavy.

What's the difference between a P/14 and a P17....other than caliber ? (303 British & 30-06)
Would there be differences in diameter of bolt heads?...What else?

Also the P 14 has serial numbers on the sight facing away from the shooter when it is up.

Someone took off the rear sight guards on my P14.

How hard is it to get these back on.

Try to hold out for one converted by ie:BSA, already properly drilled&tapped with a sporter stock. Keep in mind, these are heavy units.
