Why would anyone take offence? Great pics and a lovely girl with a beautiful smile.

Well Gibbs, I don't know really, but thought I'd say that anyways. To be on the safe side. :)

You know that picture was taken 66 years ago, putting her about the same age (+/- a year) as my grandfather who faught in World War 2 is and he used a Bren in the War. :)

Can anyone give me the link to those archives? My grandmother worked at Inglis during the war and I bet she'd love to see some of those photos.

She did all kinds of things, like soldering Bren mags, grenade parts, and even test fired Bren guns. I know for fact that she worked on the batch of Brens that got shipped to China.

Any links would be great. Thanks

Those photos werescanned out of a bok my grandmother has called "Women at War".

I'm honestly not sure where you'd find a copy, as it seemed to be a sort of yearbook type thing given to the girls. It covers not just small arms, but tank and aircraft factories, ammunition factories, parachute factories, etc. etc.

I think I included all the inglis pictures, but next time I see her I'll leaf through it again and scan anything else I can find of interest.

Notice that its 1943 and the RCA is still issued No1 MkIII rifles. :D
