Enfield revolver help

Before i take it apart I'll ask those in the know...have 2 enfield tanker models that eject shells when opened then center piece snaps back into the cylinder..on my mk1 1931 enfield with hammer it pops out but does not snap back to cylinder..as it closes it retreats back into the cylinder...is this right for this model? has it got the unfired shell retainer system? thanks for any info..

Your Extractor Lever is worn, it needs to be replaced.
Easy to fix, might not be so easy to find!
