enfield sight question

am I missing a spacer? I was trying a MKll sight on my LB#4 sporter but when installed the sight can slide side to side about 3/16". It seems like there should be a small spacer to keep it all the way to the left.?

There is a little collar.

thats what I was afraid of. what about a small spring in place of the collar?

You've got a British sight that requires the little steel collar....LB sight is full width at the base. Cheaper to get the correct sight.

Agreed, the Canadian Mk III sight is full width, no movement at all. Find one of them.

A stiff little spring would keep the sight to the left. Wouldn't take much to make a little spacer.
