From what I've read on a few of the other posts on this board, some of the Ranger EALs were drilled and tapped for scope bases. This may have been one of those. There has to be some way to find out if it was done at the armorers bench. As far as price goes, EALs are in demand amongst collectors and shooters, One in VG-EXC condition can bring as much as $750. They drop rapidly in value, just like any other milsurp, as condition declines. The military versions bring much more than the civilian versions. Before you sell the rifle, check out as many sources as possible. Ootookiak, where are you, you were the one that mentioned that the Ranger units were issued with EAL rifles that were drilled and tapped for scopes by armorers before issueing, but no mention of the scope types.
