These 2nd hand Migs are widely available in the surplus market as most Eastern block & other former Soviet clients worldwide are trying to get rid of their junks any way they can.

Yup...we were best buds. We used to go gun collecting when everyone else went to the beach. Thats him on the quad 23mm.

We got in a lot of #### when we started TOWING stuff back to the base.... :shock:

So just what is the official Can Forces policy on 'battle field pick-ups' these days?

I mean, so lets say you come accross a rear sight that will go nicely on your #4 Enfield at home...are you OK to mail it back, or pack it in your gear. 8)
 
Ya...bits and pieces are no big thing.

Anything loaded (ammo/grenades/rockets/ bombs/aircraft) would cause a stir.

Even knives (bayonets) can be problematic

Little peices like sights and stuff just go unnoticed.

I mailed a load of stuff home from the gulf like uniforms/badges/insignia/radio parts. If its not a weapon yer good to go most times.
