Evening all,
I have recently acquired this SxS shotgun. All I know is the following
12 gauge 2 3/4" chamber
Nitro Proofed barrels
With the attached photos I'm hoping someone could identify this and value it.
Blueing and wood excellent shape.

With advice from fellow CGN'ers I have learned the following.....
Belgian
Liege
Year 1927 ( water mark f )
Inspector Alexandre Lambert ( Water mark *F )
DBCo circled but can't locate a reference.
Any idea of value?

thanks in advance
BB

It’s identical right down to the design on the screw heads to a Laurona I have as a spare parts gun for my father’s Laurona (Spanish made). Does it have pigeons stamped on the top of the barrels just ahead of the scroll on them?

Proof marks are Belgian. I would expect a Spanish gun like a Laurona would have Spanish proofs.

There should be more proof marks on the barrel flats to give more information. Crisp clear pictures are a help.
Is there no inscription on the rib? Marking DR Co. on the water table could be the maker name but I cannot find a reference.

It looks like a basic European boxlock hunting gun, many being imported lately by Tradeex, with the limits of guns per individual ownership being applied in Scandinavian countries.

I’ve come across a “Belgian” 16g that was proofed with Belgian proof marks, but it was also stamped with Laurona markers marks on the watertable. Is it possible that it was built for a Belgian retailer/builder by Laurona?
