A few years ago when he started doing this , I bought one of his guns he had there for display at the show, a colt 1911 stainless , Super job.
He also had there a colt python , I should have bought at same time, but at the time , short of cash.
As nice as I have seen, and have been at it of 50 years+ BTW, I think the python was 800.oo, so you know it was a while back.

James Galts Goldsmith in Calgary. Check his website. I have some of his work on my guns and it is first rate.

I stuck the term "hand engraving Canada" into Google images search and came up with a whackload of pretty good engravers. Far more than I would have expected, truly. A lot more pictures of gun parts than you would have thought, too!

Worth remembering that only the receiver is "the firearm", so you can legally send pretty much any other part to any engraver that is willing to talk to you. The engraver that does the serialized component, will need the appropriate paperwork for the type of firearm otherwise, which may or may not limit things.

Cheers
