Engraving XCR lower

Use your head for a second there. He probably only took the slide to the jeweler if it was to get a diamond put in the sights. The slide is an unregulated part, no need for an ATT.

The guy wrote no laws were broken because he had an ATT and that he brought it in disassembled, not just the slide.

"...Try a jeweler..." Jeweller's, trophy shops nor CNC will very likely not have a firearms business licence and therefore cannot do any work on any firearm. There's a posting, yesterday, on I think it's the gunsmith's forum about a guy here in London who is advertising engraving as part of what he does. No idea if he's any good or costs, he's new, but you may want to contact him. You will need an ATT to ship to him though.

When i got my wifes engagement ring box engraved at a jewelers in Ottawa, they had pistols on deck that were being worked on by their engraver, I don't think it's as uncommon as we think.

Mikethebike. Your posts contain so much damn fail. Aslong as the CFO approves and issues an ATT a restricted firearm can be taken anywhere. Just ask TV-Presspass. He got an ATT to take his Famae outside in the wildness where it belongs for a video and to fire blanks ( sadly they didn't work). So as said. Get the panties unbunched and realize that a firearm or reciever isn't going to magically jump up and kill someone

I've been told direct from the CFO I can get ATT's for damn near anywhere for photoshoots. Museum and an old NWMP fort, which is also a national historic site. You can get an ATT anywhere as long as you follow their rules. The only real rule was no live ammo.

You don't need a business firearms license to work on guns. Go back to your gad damn hole you spreader of lies!

Guys! Really? Bringing a firearm inside a jeweller shop? Really???
Am i the only one seeing all the fail in this idea?

Yep, you're the only one.

I took my wife's slide in, had her name engraved, all sights drilled out and replaced with 2 yellow diamonds (rear sights) and 1 brilliant white diamond (front sight).

Jeweller had absolutely no problem with it. Everyone at the store thought it was really neat.

Exactly. I believe "Shooter 1of38" took one of his pistols to a local jeweler to have diamonds installed in the sights as a gift for his wife. Nobody was injured, arrested, and no laws where broken (had the att).

As long as you contact the owner and manager before you just waltz in there should be no problem if the said you could and know when to expect you. Bringing it in disassembled/trigger locked/cased are all just extra precautions to show your due diligence as a responsible and safe firearms owner.

He had an ATT made up to specifically allow him to bring a pistol to a jeweler shop?

Cause my ATT sure doesn't allow me to bring my pistols or restricted to jeweler shops, if it did I would be shaking my head in disbelief! Might as well put in banks, financial institutions, gas stations, and Garda mobile armored trucks in the ATT as well.

Took just the slide in.
