Enjoying the 410 at skeet

So back to the .410.....Stubblejumper, I had my .410 O/U out on Sunday and it was very humbling hahahaha. I knew it would be but did I ever enjoy shooting it!! There's just something about breaking targets with it.

If you are on , the targets break fine, but if you are just a touch off, you have much less chance of a lucky pellet on the outer edge of the pattern breaking the clay. I started out a touch lazy last night, and was a touch behind on 3,4,5 , and I dropped a couple of targets as a result. There is just no forgiveness with the 410.

Kudos to the shooters who can master the .410. It was a very frustrating experience for me. Shot one round really well and then tank on the next. I could never build the consistency with it that I could with the 28 gauge.

The 28 gauge is definitely much more forgiving, but I am hoping that shooting the 410 fairly often will help my shooting.

I shoot a 30" dt10L and got a silver pigeon.410 28" and honestly I don't find I drop that many more birds with it. It fits like a glove. Nothing is better then smashing 3-4-5 with the .410er.... I feel like most that say they drop a lot more with it, don't have a proper fit

I shoot a 410 at skeet pretty much every week. I have 3 410's and they all fit me great. When your on you break them like a 12ga would. You have to be "on" though. I usually bring 4-5 guns to skeet on a sunday and usually shoot 8-10 rounds.I like to change up guns several times during the day. I like to spread the love and shoot all my guns. When I 25 straight one of my 410's with my reloads it is very rewarding.
