Lol..... still have a scar on my chest from a 22lr that came back at me..... young dumbass I was...... shooting at a KFC bucket lid I had nailed to a tree as a target with my cooey from about 15 yards and hit the nail......

KFC is well known to come back on you Brad!

It doesnt come back on me, just works as a tremendous chicken laxative...... I wonder if it really is high in fat and cholesterol if your body has no time to absorb it?

In my particular case, I hit the nail...... which was exactly what I was aiming for as it was dead center of the target..... lol (duh)

Seriously, the OP has had it pretty hard by you guys. He's scarpered off.
I heard on the radio that a guy was savaged in the woods by a spruce woodpile. He was able to get a few shots off, but they had him surrounded. The Police found half a dozen 1 3/4" pieces of frozen spruce that had been shot straight through, so he did not sell his life cheaply. Could this be the guy?

I am impressed that your arrow stayed in the wall. The 4 times I've seen a Xbow bolt hit a house they bounced off. Left a hell of a mark though.

1/2" penetration in what appears to be old concrete isn't really that spectacular.

Slick tricks are very short broadheads, but they're tough as heck and shoot like field points. I started with them over 10 years ago and have since tried a variety of fixed and mechanical heads. I'm back to slick tricks and will likely use them for good. Should have stuck with them from the start and kept a few hundred dollars in my pocket.

How does a .410 slug compare to a .44 mag 'cause guys use .44 mags for deer huntin' ?

It's not the penetration really that impresses me, it is the toughness of these broad heads.

Maybe we should have a broad head test, or Slick Trick test on varying substances. :)

I think he killed a dead tree ...
Bout as good as it gets...
Does the op even have a PAL or taken a hunting course in the Province he resides in?
Cause all of the questions will have been answered there already.
But, what do I know?
Rob

To be fair, the tree was frozen. So it was most likely already dead.
