Entry level IPSC Gun

My 2 cents: Don't try to get the perfect gun in the beginning. You will later realize how many changes you will need to make on the "perfect gun".

Just use whatever you have, and try the Black Badge course and then several matches first. You will have a much better idea what kind of equipments you need.

I am using the Norinco NP29 in IPSC and having a lot of fun. But I did upgrade the sights some time ago.

If you are near a range that has range guns, go try them. I ended up with a S&W M&P in 9mm, that I now use in IPSC. Strangely, this is contrary to the original "get a Glock" that was originally suggested.

Also try some other shooter's guns. Most of us will at least let you put a mag down range. Go to an IPSC match, talk to the shooters, look at their guns, ask questions.

Be safe ... have fun!!!

1911 or revolver for PPC?

Seems like I would use my 1911 .45 with lighter loads for IPSC. How about for PPC? I've also got a nice S&W 686 so would I choose that more for PPC with a lighter .38 special load rather than the pistol?
