Eotech 3X magnifier

I have been using the Aimpoint 3X magnifier both with Aimpoint to Eotech and I love that combo. I would imagine the EoTech magnifier to be just as good if not better.

I took a couple pictures yesterday of the reticule. I took these pics the worst way possible, ie. hand held, on A, etc. but it gives a little idea what it shows. If anybody feels like doing up some better pics, please put them up.

First one is just the EoTech, second through the 3X. The actual images are far clearer than my photography skills can show:redface:.
Please disregard the dog nose prints on the patio door glass.

In Toronto, the army would be out providing Aid to Civil Power and shoveling everyone's driveways...

Back to the EoTech though, I came about $200 from buying one last year....if the "gun show special" price had been a bit less, I'd have had one on my rifle, instead, I'm trading the EOTech (plus some cash) for a Leupy CQ/T.

I think Eotech could have come up with a much better attachment design for those magnifiers. All they needed to do was have the magnifiers attatch to the Eotech`s aluminum housing.

Having two grooves down the side of the Eotech housing and a mating housing on the magnifier and you could just slide it on and off.

The magnifer is pretty cool with that rifle/eotech setup.

I'm considerning eventually getting a carbine. I was looking at the straight Eotech, ie no magnifyer. Do you find the front sight gets in the way? Or is it fine?

Thanks.

The front sight is only slightly distracting and has posed no real difficulties for me. I just stay focussed on the Eotech reticle and all is fine.

Bear in mind that all of my shooting is sporting in nature and not 'life or death' stuff.
