Better than that, over the holidays I demo'd a bridge mounted pvs14/tig14....passive ir + thermal = AWESOME.
Now all I need to do is justify/come up with the $20,000.00

Will the 3x EoTech mount fit on the rail of a C7/C8? I ask because I know that all the LaRue mounts won't, The 553 won't and the Arms #40 BUIS won't either. All the above require some modification. I can't bring myself to file a LaRue! They all have a rectangular bar that fits into the rail slot but is too fat to fit in the narrow slot of the service rifle. I'm wondering if this is the case on the mount for the magnifier?
Depends what era upper.
Most (I thought all - but apparent not) C8SFW and ALL NW Colt Canada uppers are m1913 spec.
The older "weaver" railed uppers will not take the Larue mount
I had to "clearance" my rails on my C8SFW in order to mount the Larue 1.93 that held the short dot. My Troy flip up BUIS fit with no issues. I too couldn't bring myself to hacking on the Larue, not to mention it was a loner, so the upper got filed. I took off only a small amount of the finish between the rails. The Larue was tight to fit, but was very sturdy.

Actually, if you take the cross bar out of the ARMS #40 and turn it 1/4 turn, it will fit nicely on the C7 style uppers.....without having to file the bar to fit.....

Thanks for the replies. My question is does that EOTech magnifier mount have the square protrusion in the bottom like the LaRue's or is it a rounded cross pin like the troy BUIS? I assume it's made by ARMS.

Good luck....I've looked everywhere. There were some Aimpoint magnifiers around for about 800 but as for the Eotech ones, nothing.
