EOTECH brightness level question

Hi folks, I am runing 2 eotech sights (eotech 552 and eotech xps2)

Recently I notice my eotech 552 is not as bright as my eotech xps2, at highest brightness level, 552's reticle is pretty dim comepare to xps2's blazing bright reticle.

During sunny day, I am having a little trouble with my eotech 552 when shooting white target.

So my question is, is this normal for eotech 552? Or EOTECH XPS2 does indeed has a much brighter reticle since it is a newer model?

Replace your batteries. If that doesn't work then use a pencil eraser to clean the contacts in the battery compartment. That should fix your issue. I've seen this issue several times over the years with Eotech. Hopefully this helps you out.

I own a 552 and on its max brightness it is very intense, so I'll guess for the battery too...

About Eoptech, does someone knows if there is any alternative to the G33? It is really expensive...

Can I use a Vortex VMX-3T with my 552?

I used a VMX3T with my 512 for a year. The Vortex mechanism is slower to use (you have to depress a button to release), and there is a bit of slop in the mount. IMHO the G33 is a faaaaaaaar better magnifier. The mount is very solid, and fast to use. Pay once, cry once!

and when I had my 552 and 512 they were both really bright, never used them at full brightness.
