Eotech on SKS?

I`m been thinking of putting an Eotech on my Russian SKS.
Has anyone on here done it?
How does it work? ie brass doesn`t hit the sight does it?
and where can a guy find a good quality picatinny mount for an SKS that doesn`t require tapping?

LOL, you mean the Burris FastFire? It's an okay sight. I don't like the auto-brightness feature. It's always too bright.

kind of like a $40 saddle on a $10 horse.. but why not...
if you can find a handguard mount - scout type setup - you would have a super fast sighting system

I sort of did this. I have a T6 stock on my SKS and added a G&P knockoff of an Eotech 501 to my SKS. Looks and shoots fine.

I did it a long time ago....have pics in this forum. I didn't buy the eotech for the sks but it fits on a cheapo reciever cover mount I slid on. It is high but it works, shoots quick, good accusition. you don't need to have your cheek down on the butt to shoot this sight.

Nothing has to make sense.....I did it cause I can.
