Eotech Refund

I spoke with theTeller and explained it was a refund for faulty product and they still put a hold of it.
Could be account history. I get about 10x the no hold limit with the credit union (member for 12 years) vs TD (5 years) but have a mortgage and line of credit, and credit cards with them.
It cost me a little at my bank... total of 615 deposit to my account. While the dollar is so low it's worth to exchange to canadian. Then buy more American once the dollar is back up closer together

They didn't put a hold on mine , RBC , and I asked the teller if there'd be a hold and She's like "No ,are you Confident about this check?" and I'm "Yes , Yes I'am , thank you , Bye, Bye .

I'm thinking if you don't ask for it in CND $ you'll get what you asked for in U.S Dollars , Which is what the check will be in any way , but you get back more .

I shipped with Canada Post. I sent it registered. I declared it as "return of defective holographic sight". Zero problems.
Got my cheque back for my XPS2 a few days ago. Put my claim in for $589 and go a cheque for $417 USD which works out to about $535 CDN so a bit short of what I thought I would get as well. Based on a few post I've read here it almost seems that they have an upper limit on now much they'll pay out for each model returned regardless of what people are claiming.
Despite the refund. I understand the concept of making money out of an old sight but...

i really liked the sight but started having the fading reticle issue.
it would totally wash out on a sunny day unless it was against a dark background.
changed batteries & went through the whole series of touble shooting with eotech with no change.
if not for that...i probably would have kept it

Yes $741 USD for a EXPS-3-0 that I paid around $500 CDN or so for used.
I liked my eotech but it has been replaced by an Aimpoint - Micro T-2.
My cheque had a hold of 14 days too. Teller said it's standard practice with any cheque like that.
