Eotech Refund

Yeah, there was no hold for me either. I just put it in to my USD savings account so as to not pay for conversion.

It cost me a little at my bank... total of 615 deposit to my account. While the dollar is so low it's worth to exchange to canadian. Then buy more American once the dollar is back up closer together

30 day hold at ATB. seems a tad exsessive.

Got hosed by the exchange rate too. Ended up with $100 less than I was approved for after conversion

I'll be sending mine in finally after the long weekend. Ran out of factory ammo, need to prep 1400 223 cases haha. I'm going to keep the cheque in USD, and buy a custom 260 rem barrel for my DTA.

Got my first cheque today. For a 512... they approved my claim for 675 canadian. .. and sent me 482 American Which is approximately 625 can. So 50 short and no $15 for shipping. A little disappointing but still way more than I could have ever got on ee.

Got my cheque back for my XPS2 a few days ago. Put my claim in for $589 and go a cheque for $417 USD which works out to about $535 CDN so a bit short of what I thought I would get as well. Based on a few post I've read here it almost seems that they have an upper limit on now much they'll pay out for each model returned regardless of what people are claiming.

just returned a model 552 manufactured in aug 2005.
they offered a refund of $459 u.s. plus $15 shipping.
mailed it canada post with insurance & tracking/signature for $26.
now the wait begins....

Despite the refund. I understand the concept of making money out of an old sight but...

Did you guys actually experienced issues with your sights?

Thanks guy. looking forward to hear about that.

P.S. I got a few eotechs on my firearms with the years and never had any of the describes problems.

i really liked the sight but started having the fading reticle issue.
it would totally wash out on a sunny day unless it was against a dark background.
changed batteries & went through the whole series of touble shooting with eotech with no change.
if not for that...i probably would have kept it

Are these issues really that noticeable during regular range use? Is there a manufacturing date range where these issues took place, or have they always been FUBAR?
