Sorry if this has been asked before -- I searched the forum and didn't find it.

I just picked up a Armalite LE M15A4 16" from Wolverine Supplies and a EOTech 512 from TSE. I mounted the EOTech and find it a little low - I would like to raise it a 1/4" or so, and eventually get a flip up BUIS and cowitness that.

I found the Yankee Hill Machine EOTech riser, which does exactly what I want. Is there something else out there though that I should look at, or easier to get in Canada?

I got the YHM EOTech riser...it's pretty good, but you really have to make sure that two little front screws and expanding 'clamps' that go into one of the notches of the Picatinny rail are good and tight. I thought mine was tight and after one Tac Rifle match it came loose. I've retightened the screws and used Loctite this time, and it's stayed put so far.
The LaRue Tactical mount is the best mount, but expensive...it's $119 US. If you can find one, and then find somebody who will ship to you from the US.

Thanks Six Star for the info. I sure like the LaRue mount, but I think I have more of a chance getting a date with Natalie Portman than importing one of those up here. Note to self, make a friend who lives in the USA.

Has anyone tried the GG&G Accucam? How does it compare to the YHM riser?

Where does one get either of those up here?
 
The GG&G Accucam doesn't actually do anything for height, it just replaces the thumbscrew with a throw-lever. It's just a different method of attachment.

Oh, and if you can find a Larue riser on Ar15.com, and it's under $100, you can have it shipped up here no problem. It's not a critical firearms part, and, CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG, I don't believe it to be a "Scope" part. But quadruple check that last part before you attempt to have one shipped. It won't get you in trouble, but it's a felony for an American to export it without the proper permits.
