So I think I might have problem with my vision :(

what would cause me to see my XPS2 all blurry ? My friend says he sees the recticle fine on it.... I have a SPARC on my .22, and I have no issue with the DOT...

Would the aimpoint be blurry or will it be like the SPARC ? Or does the 2x magnifier on the SPARC help my vision...

:bangHead:

It's your eyes, take a picture of the reticle with a camera, it will come out nice and crisp, and yes, the aimpoint will be just like the sparc. Maginifiers will help with the eotech and the single dot sights as well.

I hate that there's no focus on some of those holo sights. I'm eternally thankful for the diopter on the eyepiece of my 1-4 PST

If you needed a focus on a red dot, you'd introduce the big problem of glass parallax.

The 1MOA/65MOA reticle of the EOTech only looks 1MOA/65MOA if you have 20/20 vision or better... with my bare eyes, the centre dot almost blends into the surrounding reticle. It's that bad. That is a fault of my eyes, not the sight. Bear in mind, this isn't rare 'problem'.

It's the biggest reason I don't run EOTech's on any of my guns.

You can't compare eotech and aimpoint to lucid... no matter what your eyes are like... lucid is close to ncstar in quality.

There is no doubt that the Lucid is not in the same boat as the Aimpoint. But saying its closer to an NC Star makes you sound like a fool or at the minimum someone with no understanding or experience with optics.
May want to do some background into the Lucid brand products before you start comparing them to NC star airsoft products.

I have a Lucid HD7... I have used NC Star products. Lucid is as far above NC Star as Eotech/Aimpoint are above Lucid... and I dare say Lucid is a little closer to Eotech/Aimpoint using this comparative scale.

I have used or owned all these optic brands, BTW.

I had the same issue with an EoTech. As mentioned above, it's your eyes!

I'm an "old fart" (read old eyes!), I have a slight astigmatism in each eye, plus I had corrective lazik surgery about 12 years ago. When I looked through the new XPS 3-0 I purchased sight unseen, the dot and circle edges appeared fuzzy, and I could see the pixels within the light.
However, when my sons looked through the sight it appeared crisp to them!

I ended up selling the EoTech and purchased an ACOG TA-31 to mount on the gun (AR 10.5").

I missed the features a 1X red dot offers, so I recently added a J Point to the top of the ACOG, which I think makes up a nice little combo.

I cant wait to try it out... I dont judge a product until I have tried it...

And I will do a full review when I get it... But even then what works for me might not work for you...

From what I have read and been told, the Eotech actually uses a bunch of pixels to make up the reticle. If you focus your eyes on the reticle, you will see them, and the reticle will look blurry. However, with your focus on your target (as it should be with these types of optics), the reticle should look smooth.

I have the XPS-2, and have found this to be true. Using a bunch of pixels is suppose to be more efficient than using one large continuous light source, (makes your batteries last longer, ).

If I have made any inaccurate statements here, I expect to recieve one of these shortly, :slap: .

Hey Satain....................great post, I'm still LMAO!!!

Yes, I would have to agree, after trying lots of optics on my AR's, I think I may have found the "Holy Grail" of sight setups for my little LMT 10.5"!!!

Cheers.

Well LUCID works great.... Better then I expected for the price...

To bad the weather is sh!t and I cant do a range test this weekend.... So It will have to wait another 2 weeks. Before Im back home again....
