Epps has a bunch of Ruger SR1911's in stock

At more than 80 bucks cheaper than a Remington R1, you really couldn't go wrong. Who knows - $600-ish might eventually wind up being where the retail price settles in for these pistols, but I can't see them getting any cheaper than that.

I doubt it, went to see on gunbroker 5 mins ago and the lowest price right now for an NIB SR1911 with no reserve that started at $1.00 24 hours ago is already at $605 with 13 bids on it... Still has 4 days to go out of the 5 days listing...

They go for a tad over $700 on gunbroker and anywhere between $700 and $750 at other gun stores in the US and they sell rather quickly.

If you can score one for under $700+tax up here, grab it and run!

By the way, nice TZR you have there, always loved those 2 stroke smokers, miss my old NS400r(first bike I've owned, a long time ago!).

I did. ;)

Sadly I let the TZR go a few years back. Always loved my smokers though and I pretty well had them all - RZ350, RD350, RZ500, RG500, NSR400 and even an old KH400. Hindsight being 20/20 I should've kept every single one. However truth be told, any new 600cc supersport is a far better performing bike than the best of the 80's GP repli-racers and more fun to ride. Regardless I still worship at the alter of pre-mix in the blue smoke church any way that I can. I still prefer riding my two stroke sleds and dirtbikes, and I've been known to fire up the chainsaw or trimmer just for the smell. :D

Ahhhh... That sweet AMSOIL smell...

The Gamma has always been my favorite... Wish I had one today!

The Gamma was a neat bike, but the gearbox was suspect, with second gear failures being common. Also the bodywork was incredibly fragile. I finally sold it about 9 years ago and got close to ten grand for it. Don't know if I would've got a whole lot more today with the economy being what it is.

Are you one of the lucky ones to have got the EPPS deal?

Apparently I got the last one. I could hear the phone ringing in the background and was told that had I called even one minute later they would've been sold out. I asked what the deal was with the big price drop, but Nick said that he really didn't know (or he just wasn't saying, which knowing him, that could be the case ). Regardless, I've finally joined the ranks of 1911 owners and by the sounds of things I could've done worse.
